Cancer Australia's Advisory Council

The Cancer Australia Advisory Council is established under the Cancer Australia Act 2006, to provide advice to the Chief Executive Officer about the performance of Cancer Australia’s functions.

Cancer Australia’s Advisory Council comprises a Chair and up to 12 members appointed by the Minister for Health and Aged Care.

Cancer Australia draws on the expertise, skills and experience that Advisory Council members bring to the agency’s continued efforts to improve outcomes for all people affected by all cancers.

Cancer Australia's Advisory Council members are:​

Advisory Council members are appointed for a term of no more than 3 years. Members’ remuneration is governed by the Cancer Australia Act (section 30) and determined by the Remuneration Tribunal.

Cancer Australia

Cancer Australia was established by the Australian Government in 2006 to benefit all Australians affected by cancer, and their families and carers. Cancer Australia aims to reduce the impact of cancer, address disparities and improve outcomes for people affected by cancer by leading and coordinating national, evidence-based interventions across the continuum of care.
