Position description

The Head of National Research and Data leads a division in providing policy and program advice, and developing and delivering a range of strategic research and data initiatives. Key schemes include the Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme; funding Australia’s national Multi-site Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Groups; implementing the Australian Brain Cancer Mission; strengthening national data capacity; and overseeing the development of evidence-based cancer information, resources and data for cancer consumers, health professionals and the community. The role works in close collaboration with other divisions in the Agency, other APS agencies and external stakeholders to deliver on government policy and Agency outcomes.
