Grants and funding opportunities

Cancer Australia administers several grants programs, providing support for cancer research, cancer clinical trials and cancer support networks.

We work in partnership with other organisations and groups to ensure the most effective and efficient use of our resources.

At times, as part of our other work programs, we also seek through a Request for Tenders process, to engage outside organisations to undertake specific work on our behalf. Requests for tenders are advertised in the press and on the AusTender website, with links to information provided on this page.

We expect to undertake further grant rounds in the following program areas:

  • Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme (the grant application period opens in December and closes in March, with the successful recipients announced in the following December)
  • Supporting people with cancer (formerly Building Cancer Support Networks) initiative: a community briefing was held in December prior to advertising the next grant round in early 2012. For more information, please visit the Supporting people with cancer page.

Information relating to future fellowship opportunities will also be provided on this page.
