Cancer Australia has undertaken a review of national cancer control activity.
A consortium of national cancer control and public health organisations were contracted, following an open tender, to complete the review and prepare a report for Cancer Australia. The consortium members were: Cancer Council Australia (lead agency), Cancer Institute NSW, Cancer Voices Australia, Clinical Oncological Society of Australia, Collaboration for Cancer Outcomes, Research & Evaluation (CCORE), National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, University of NSW, and Sydney Health Projects Group, The University of Sydney.
The audit collates and reviews existing information (published and unpublished) about national cancer control activity in Australia to identify opportunities for building collaboration and capacity, and strengths, gaps and overlaps in activities and effort. The findings will help Cancer Australia and other stakeholders prioritise future cancer control activities.
