National Working Group
Cancer Australia has established a National Working Group for Gynaecological Cancers to provide expert advice regarding the issues and activities related to gynaecological cancers and establishment of the Centre.
The group will:
- identify barriers to optimal prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and care of women with gynaecological cancers and
- identify where collaborative effort with other cancer control organisations and governments is required to improve outcomes.
Working Group members
The Working Group includes consumers, health professionals and researchers with expertise in the area of gynaecological cancers and health policy makers.
Members are not representative of a particular group or organisation but are members in their own right because of their experience and expertise. We selected members from nominees from the wide range of consumers, national organisations, colleges and professional groups working to improve gynaecological cancer outcomes. This was to ensure the group is representative of all relevant disciplines, across the cancer control continuum and across Australia. Consumer representatives were selected following a national call for applications from individuals and nominations from cancer consumer groups.
