
Cancer Australia's National Centre for Gynaecological Cancers' (NCGC) work program involves identifying priority areas for the development of clinical practice guidelines to support health professionals make decisions about appropriate investigations, treatment and care for women affected by gynaecological cancers.
There are currently no national, evidence-based clinical guidelines for endometrial cancer. Endometrial cancer is the most common invasive gynaecological cancer in Australia, affecting approximately 2000 women and causing an estimated 370 deaths per year.
The NCGC has developed diagnostic guides, now available on the website, to assist general practitioners and gynaecologists assess pre-, peri- and post-menopausal women with abnormal vaginal bleeding to maximise diagnostic accuracy for endometrial cancer. These guides were developed with assistance from an expert working group (PDF 37KB).

Cancer Australia has worked in partnership with Cancer Council Australia to develop clinical practice guidelines for the management of women with early stage endometrial cancer, with assistance from an expert working group, chaired by Dr. Alison Brand. The draft guidelines are currently available for public comment on the Cancer Council Australia wiki site at:
