Our approach
Cancer Australia aims to improve cancer outcomes in Australia through national leadership, collaborating with, and adding value to, the efforts of the many diverse groups and individuals with an interest in cancer control.
We are committed to consulting and working with people affected by cancer and the many professional, community and government cancer organisations. We use the advice and information gathered from cancer control stakeholders across Australia, particularly through our advisory groups, to formulate policy recommendations and develop our programs.
An Advisory Council provides advice to the Chief Executive Officer about the performance of Cancer Australia's functions.
To link with the wide range of stakeholders who inform and advise us on cancer priorities and programs, Cancer Australia has established expert National Advisory Groups, an inter-governmental Strategic Forum, and Steering Committees for major projects.
