Current Funding Opportunities and Tenders
Cancer Australia has been allocated funding to implement the following components of the Australian Government’s National Cancer Plan:
- a dedicated cancer research budget
- support for cancer clinical trials
- Building Cancer Support Networks program
- mentoring for regional hospitals and cancer professionals
- professional development for people providing care and support to people with cancer
- development of training courses for cancer nurses
In 2008 the Australian Government committed $5.1 million over the coming three years, to further develop the National Centre for Gynaecological Cancers within Cancer Australia.
The funding provided to Cancer Australia to implement programs and administer as grants is detailed in the annual Portfolio Budget Statement.
